Kenora Housing First Modular Build

The Kenora Housing First Modular Build project included the Design-Build Services and Construction of a two story, twenty (20) unit modular supportive housing complex in Downtown Kenora, Ontario. The complex features four accessible units, a shared amenities area, common laundry room along with offices for staff to provide supportive services. The project is to be built using modular components such as concrete faced insulation and pre-built wall assemblies with mechanical and electrical rough ins pre-installed off site to be hoisted into place.

 

Upon award, Marrbeck's Pre-Construction team worked with KDSB to refine the design to best meet the tenants needs and overall use of the space.

Prior to start of construction, asbestos abatement, decommissioning and demolition of an existing housing complex prior took place.
