PROJECT MANAGER

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Director of Field Operations, the Project Manager is the onsite team leader for Marrbeck and is accountable for assigned projects during the construction phase.

Working independently and as part of a project team, the Project Manager is responsible for:

  • Managing and coordinating of multiple scopes of a construction project including our trade partners.

  • Construction Planning and Scheduling to meet budgeting and exacting standards

  • Customer and Sub-Contractor Relationship Management

  • Shop Drawing Reviews and Submittals

  • Change Management within the project(s)

  • Health Safety Environment and security of the public, staff and the workers

  • Quality and Risk Management

 

The Project Manager receives direct supervision and assistance from Company Management regarding overall policy and delivery objectives. As well, is encouraged to provide safety, quality, schedule and budget strategies to ensure attainment of those objectives.

Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a Project Manager working for a General Contractor

  • Journeyperson certificate or postsecondary diploma or degree in a related discipline is an asset.

  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written are mandatory

  • Knowledge of and experience in the construction industry

  • Ability to coordinate multiple scopes of a construction project.

  • Critical thinking and effective decision-making skills

  • Experienced with MS Project, MS Excel

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines

  • Attention to detail

  • Valid driver’s license.
