Site Superintendent

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Director of Field Operations, the Site Superintendent is the onsite team leader for Marrbeck and is accountable for assigned projects during the construction phase.

Working independently and as part of a project team, the Site Superintendent is responsible for:
• Managing and coordinating of multiple scopes of a construction project including our trade partners
• Construction Planning and Scheduling
• Customer and Sub-Contractor Relationship Management
• Health Safety Environment and security of the public, staff and the workers
• Quality and Risk Management

The Site Superintendent receives direct supervision and assistance from Company Management regarding overall policy and delivery objectives. As well, is encouraged to provide safety, quality, schedule and budget strategies to ensure attainment of those objectives.

Education, Experience & Skills:

• Minimum 5+ years experience as a Site Superintendent working for a General Contractor
• Journeyperson certificate or postsecondary diploma or degree in a related discipline is an asset.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written are mandatory
• Knowledge of and experience in the construction industry
• Ability to coordinate multiple scopes of a construction project.
• Critical thinking and effective decision-making skills
• Experienced with MS Project, MS Excel
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
• Attention to detail
• Valid driver's license.
