Nova House Family Violence Crisis Centre

Project involved the construction of a new 10,000 square foot LEED Silver, wood framed family crisis center. The basement foundation consisted of cast in place belled concrete piles and concrete structural slab. The main and second floor includes wood construction with some structural steel elements. This building is also sprinklered and has four (4) gas furnaces, hot water tanks and A/C units. Interior finishes include resilient sheet and plank flooring, ceramic tile and five (5) custom kitchens. The exterior structure finishes includes stucco, concrete board siding, stone work and LEED certified asphalt shingles. There is also a large fenced in asphalt parking area and an architectural kids play and sitting area.
