This project included the renovation of an existing third floor science lab which included selective demolition, construction and renovation of the 1,117 square foot area. The existing lab was upgraded to a Level 2 Science Lab complete with anteroom, lab preparation room and laboratory work area with rated separation at corridor. The building mechanical system was also upgraded to supply four more labs on the second and third floors.

This project also consisted of extensive renovations of hallways, public spaces, washrooms, stairwells, new lounge areas as well as a two-storey loading dock and shipping area consisting of a main floor able to accept volatile materials and a second floor consisting of a green room and science lab.

This work was completed throughout the school year with certain parts of the work which impacted classroom learning was scheduled to be completed while classes were not in session.
